Missouri wants to censor school staff from talking with students about LGBTQ issues
I highly recommend reading this news article and all the cringy, awful things the bill sponsor said.
I'm a Missourian, and this is awful stuff. If this bill passes, I'm gonna be so upset.
Youth need people they can talk to, especially if they have a family who would kick them out of the house for being gay. Bills like this put youth at harm for homelessness, abuse, and suicide. Why conservatives can't just have the slightest empathy with that is beyond me. Like, ok, let's say you think being gay is a sin. But abusing a child? Kicking a child out of the house and to the curb? Mistreating your child so bad they take their own life? That's not a sin?
